Anyone On Here From Chesapeake Or Great Bridge?
Is there anyone on here from Chesapeake, or Great Bridge? I lived in Great Bridge and worked at QVC in the Greenbriar area for 15 years. I would love finding someone from there to chat with. I moved back to my hometown of Ky, in 2001, and then moved here to Victoria, Canada in 2005. While living and working in Va, I met some great people.

Whats the matter....you sound homesick.
I met some good people there too. I miss Lock Park where I walked my dog through the trails along the river. Hey they since built a new bridge over the ICW. I wonder if Battlefield Blvd still backs up. Nawwww I suppose only Dominion Blvd does now.

I lived in Chesapeake for a while, in the apartments right behind Wal-Mart & Sam's Club. I miss that area so much. I remember that we always had a bag by the door ready to go to the beach whenever the mood hit us.

I loved the beach there too. At least the water was warm, unlike the beaches here in victoria. I KNOW EXACTLY WHERE THOSE APTS WERE. I HAD A FRIEND FROM QVC THAT LIVED THERE.

I know the beaches you speak of in Victoria. No sand. That is what struck me most. There is so much water all over Vancouver and Vancouver Island. Beaches everywhere ! But no sand. The beaches are rocks and washed up sea kelp . But it is beautiful there. I lived in Sooke on the island which is less then an hour below Victoria. I also spent a year in North Van.
Some good times....................

I know exactly what you mean. All rocks and no sand. The rain and wind is so bad, especially today. I have been through Sooke. I usually stay here in Victoria and occasionally, my husband takes me to another little island. the one island I want to go to before I leave, is Saltsprings island. Alot of famous artists and stars there. Beautiful shops too. how long did you live in Sooke and Vancouver?
