Anyone going to this years NEON festival? Anyone go to last years?

...obviously it has been extended for four days now and will add to the Stockley Gardens Arts Festival.

While the NEON festival is in its 2nd year, it is a pretty big deal already. Granby St is already jumpin...but the NEON side of Granby was SUPER LIVE. Have you not been watchin the news? Being that youre a Chesapeake mom, you could probably take youre kids down there earlier in the day/afternoon. I should be headed back down there NOW, for real.

I went last year, it was amazing. Videos were projected on the sides of buildings, lots of street performers, and art installations hidden in alleys and such. This year's event seemed to be a bit subdued, perhaps because the weather was overcast.

Virginia Beach has created it's own district, ViBE. http://www.thevibedistrict.com/?page_id=39

I'm actually happy to see that it is. It is only the 2nd year and can only get bigger.
