Default VB Schools - choosing a district

I've been reading about the VB highschools and their magnet programs. It seems that kids don't necessarily attend the HS that their neighborhood feeds into.

So would you recommend choosing a location based more on elementary/middle schools than high schools? I'm assuming you don't have an option to move around in those grade levels.

Well, Id say chose an area based on all aspects. There is an actual application process to the magnet programs. What happens if your child is not interested in the programs offered, or does not meet the qualifications.
