BTW, manga?! Go find find School days and get back to me after it has broken your soul. ;p And I mean the manga, not the PC game. For the love of all that is holy, do NOT download the PC game.
Ehh... I've got Tenjou Tenge to keep me company.

And I just want to make an update on one event. Lunatic Luau 12 has been cancelled. Due to the nature of the event, gathering artists that aren't really touring together, refunds will be given. The concert will not be rescheduled.

This is a great idea. I am planning on moving to the Hampton Roads area in a little less than a year and this gives me an idea of what kind of things go on. I come from a super small town so having all kinds of things to choose from to do is exciting! Thanks for this, great idea!!!

Not when you can read 'n understand Japanese.

I'm actually happy that I didn't have any plans for this weekend besides veg out. I figured they would pretty much roll up the sidewalks.... not even Flipper's was open yesterday when I was at the Oceanfront.... It was saddening.

I need a Japanese teacher... bad... When I went into college, I was a hippie. I met a Japanese girl while I was there (NEVER hooked up with her because I was sooooo much in "love" with my ex... I was stoooooooopid.) and she get me into manga and taught me a little about the language. The girl single handingly turned started my manga and Japanese gaming addiction. I've tried learning the language on my own, but I'm more of a group/hands on learner. YUKI!!! I MISS YOU!!! Lets go camping again sometime! ;_;

The oppertunities I missed by caring about someone who didn't care for me... lol youth.

P.S. I accredit it all to seeing Akira when it was first released into the US. From then on, I loved animation and Japanese culture. I'm letting you guys know too much... You might start liking me.

You just gave me a great idea for an event! Let's create our own. Like a movie day or something. Someone grabs a movie, we all meetup somewhere (like a mall?) and play it on a laptop.

Ok, I just finished School Days.. Thanks Shoobie, that was a great read. I sent you a DM with a whole list of manga to check out. Me, I'm gonna pick a random one and start it.

But BEFORE THAT! This weekend in Hampton Roads!!

This Friday: Switchfoot, Third Day, and more will be playing at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater for the Music Builds Tour!

On Saturday, southern cook Paula Deen will be at the Ted Constant Center on Saturday. This is more of a "See Paula cook, raise money for CHKD" type event. I actually won tickets to this event... but gave them to my husband so he could take his mom (they're both huge fans).

Also on Saturday, you can celebrate Suffolk's 400th Anniversary at the Second Annual Taste of Suffolk Downtown Street Festival! This event is free for all ages and goes from 10am to 6pm. Live entertainment, beautiful crafts for sale, guided tours, and more will be at your disposal. So head over to North Main and Washington Streets for some absolute fun.

If the festival doesn't float your duck, then head over to Chesapeake for the DUCK RACE! That's right, THOUSANDS of rubber ducks will be dropped into the Intracoastal Waterway at Great Bridge in Chesapeake at 11:15am. Adopt some ducks and hope that one of your "babies" crosses the finish line first for some awesome prizes~! This event is to help the CHIP/Healthy Families non-profit organization.

Head over to the Virginia Beach Oceanfront this weekend for Blues at the Beach and the Fall Wine Festival. Told you that Virginia Beach (and the rest of Hampton Roads) is Wine Crazy.

Just a reminder, the Bud and BBQ event is still going on this weekend at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg. Also, Howl-O-Scream has begun - 10 Years of Fears is the theme!

Another fun event for those who dare.... It's War of the Wings at the Hunt Club Farms in Virginia Beach. From 12-5pm, enjoy the fixings from all over Hampton Roads - from the sweetest to the burn-your-mouth-off, just wing it!

On Sunday from 10am-2pm, head over to Wet Noses in Norfolk for a dog-gone WOOF, WAG, WASH-A-THON! The Norfolk SPCA will be there to provide your buddy with a good wash and pedicure. All proceeds will go to the Norfolk SPCA to help find homes for less fortunate friends.
