It's Busch Gardens' Halloween event. It starts September 19th and ends after Halloween. It's where they scrap the Europe feel at night... and make it spooky.

Check it out here ! Howl-O-Scream - Williamsburg

Beginning Friday, Sept. 19 and continuing every Friday, Saturday and Sunday through Oct. 26, Busch Gardens' Howl O Scream takes Halloween scares to a whole new place with attractions and shows starting earlier in the day. Busch Gardens is expanding the park's fright factor with all-new haunted houses, scare zones and spooky shows.
New this year is Masquerage, where "Cloakwalkers" haunt a ruined Italian palace that once served as the back drop for grand galas. Turn upon turn lead guests further into the palace, and deeper into bone-chilling crypts that spell their doom.
The popular Wicked Woods: Ripper Row haunted maze returns this year, with new characters and an all-new location in Italy where gruesome scenes of history like the Great Fire of London, the rampage of Jack the Ripper and the bubonic plague come to life.
Three new spooky musical shows will have you stompin' your feet to the beat alongside groovin' ghosts, mummies, vampires and monsters.
Little ghouls and goblins have nothing to fear. Land of the Dragons will remain a friendly place for children to enjoy the holiday spirit without the startles. Families also can jump aboard Jack's Pumpkin Express and jam to Halloween tunes on a train ride tour of the park.More than 15 scare zones, haunted attractions and Halloween-themed shows. Not all Howl-O-Scream activities are suitable for children and parental discretion is advised. Ratings for each activity are posted at the attractions and on the show schedule.

I wasn't at my normal computer all week... so now I'm back. Though I hadn't updated this, I did manage to score through Gokusen and 80-some chapters of Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles.

On Friday, head over to NAS Oceana for the Twilight Air Show. Gates open at 5:30 and the events will finish with a fireworks show at 9pm. This mini-show is pretty much the opening ceremony and a peek into what we should expect at the 2008 NAS Oceana Golden Anniversary Air Show held on Saturday and Sunday.

Be there, at NAS Oceana, Saturday and Sunday for the 2008 NAS Oceana Golden Anniversary Air Show - this air show is 50 years old! Gates open at 8:30am, flying starts at 10am - where the sky will rumble and thunder for the F/A-18 Hornets and Super Hornets, the E-2C Hawkeye and the F-22 Raptors! Not to mention, there are many other sky aerobatics to mention, like the GEICO Skytypers, U.S. Navy Leap Frogs, the British Red Devils, and the Shockwave Jet Truck. We can't forget to mention the Blue Angels that will be soaring at 3pm. ((Kuharai will be attending, of course!))

At another point in Virginia Beach, the thunder will be coming from the ground. Head over to Mt. Trashmore on Saturday for the STIHL Lumberjack Competition. Starting at Noon on Saturday and lasting until 4pm, the wood will be split!

Head over to the Vineyards by the Fountain City Center at Oyster Point in Newport News for the Newport News Wine Festival. I told you we were wine crazy! The Wine event is on Saturday from 1-6pm. When you purchase your admission, you get 12 Wine Tasters - of which you can trade in for Wine.

On Saturday, head over to ODU for the 10th Annual DoA (Department of Accounting) 5K Run and Walk. The race starts at 10am.

On Friday and/or Saturday, head over to the Starfish Pavilion on 17th Street in Virginia Beach for the Festa Italiana! Featuring the World Pizza Champions and their pizza acrobatics, great food, excellent music - the oceanfront will be a Little Italy!

The Chesapeake City Park will be a little step into the past this weekend. From 10-4 on Saturday and Sunday, the Chesapeake Heritage Arts Festival. With Arts, Food, Crafts, and performances, you will feel like you're a part of the late 1800's.

On Saturday evening, the Peninsula Family Skating Center in Newport News will be holding the Third Annual Skate for Sickle Cell. Admission is $5/person + skate rentals. Proceeds will go towards the benefit of Sickle Cell Research. Too bad I have about as much balance as a turtle going uphill on a patch of ice.

Okay! Back to Tsubasa!

EDIT: Oh, and Howl-O-Scream will be starting this weekend at Busch Gardens!!!

Sorry guys about this week. I've been just a little too busy trying to spread myself between work, school, and family. I've just not had enough time to get on and do anything! So here's just a little bit of information on some events. Again, I apologize.

Tonight (friday) head over to the Ferguson Center for the Arts in Virginia Beach for the "Last Comic Standing" tour. Starts at 8pm.

Saturday is the Neptune Festival. As far as I know, the weather has not affected this.

Head over to ODU on Saturday between 11-7pm for the India Festival. Or, check out the Mid-Autumn Moon Festival at Town Point Park in Norfolk.

Head back to Town Point Park on Sunday for the Sunrise to Sunset Acoustic Music Festival.

Walk over to Red Wing Park and check in by 9am for the Walk for MS 2008 event. Walk a mile and help raise money to stamp out MS.

The Festival sounds like fun, but I hate going into that part of Virginia Beach. Parking is about as scarce as road space on check day. Got any advice on where to park? Or is it just me being a newb again and not have any ideal where to go? lol
