This Weekend in Hampton Roads
In another thread, it was discussed about making this a more conversational board over just a "Hi, I'm moving here and want help" type.
So, every week, I will try to find an interesting activity and post it here for people who live here (and haven't experienced it all) and people coming here for vacations. This weekend, we've got:
Cherry Blossom Festival: This Saturday at Red Wing Park
The Occassional DooDah Parade starting at 12pm (Saturday) in Downtown Norfolk

Gread idea! We need more general conversation. One word, however, the DooDah parade was on Friday at noon - It was great.
It's going to be cool this weekend (sad). |

Cherry blossom festival.. sounds good, but I sure don't wanna travel out to Norfolk, and dag on if the temps aren't going to go down by thirty degrees from today!

What's happening on Saturday April 5? Would be great to find a nice outdoor festival or garden show or something! The Irish American Society meets at the Acension Church on Princess Anne on Thursday at 7 pm and we are having a wee sing song if anyone wants to come along!

The Annual ONFilm Festival will be leaving us this weekend. This year's theme is Reel Politics. ((Norfolk))
A Civil War Reenactment will be held in Isle of Wight
Also - The Virginia Beach SPCA Pet Fashion Show (broken link) will be held. ((In Virginia Beach...))

I went to one a few years back. They had animals for adoption then - and they should now. ((unless the years have escaped me))
And yes. I'm a Gamer with a sense of style.

I am thinking of going to the Civil War Reenactment. It is not far from my home, and I have been seeing the signs for it here lately...
