I really don't think you'd want to start a vacation destination argument with a lot of FL cities. Miami? Ft. Lauderdale? Orlando? The Keys? There's no comparison.

Uh,supplied by the government?? Do you mean people get a check from the government and they spend it locally? I've driven through Florida and I've seen a lot of that there. The liquor stores are nice enough to cash the checks for them. Here's a comparison wall street makes;

So for me, VA beach and charging for parking is totally a new concept. I did pay for parking at St. Augustine once, but it was for the fort and another attraction as well.
