Default Factory/Warehouse Jobs in area

What are some of the bigger factories / warehouses in the area for possible employment. I will need to get a decent paying job for awhile until I find out where I want to open my business at.

What type of factory/warehouse jobs are you speaking of? What type of skills do you have? We have many warehouse type jobs in the area so knowing the above can help.

Our 2 local job boards are 757JobsNow.com and CareerConnection.com. You can check out those sites to see who is currently hiring. I am in Human Resources and use 757JobsNow.com quite frequently and occassionaly CareerConnection.com. I stay away from Monster and CareerBuilder - I haven't had a lot of luck with those two job boards. However, if you reply back and let us know what exactly you are looking for, we may be able to point you to actual companies that would be well suited for what you are looking for.

Over 80% of the businesses in Hampton Roads are small businesses (sm. biz. = less than 100 employees). What type of business are you looking to start?

It also depends on where you want to work. There are several warehouses out this way (Newport News/Williamsburg) but I'm not sure that it would be what you are looking for. Between the Busch plant, the Wal-Mart D.C. and the Haynes Warehouse, there are many places out this way that you could probably find work. I also know that Target has a huge warehouse down towards Virginia Beach. There are several options you just have to look.

Good luck!

There is also the QVC distribution center in Suffolk, and possibly Lillian Vernon in Virginia Beach, although I know that Lillian Vernon was laying off people at some point. You might also check the Dollar Tree in Chesapeake.

It's called the Pepsi Bottling Group - which is why you might not have been able to find it.
