I just arrived in town and will be here for only 3 months. I am working in harbour view/college rd area and am trying to find short term housing, which is not a problem. What seems to be the problem is traffic. Any suggestions for where to live without having to spend all morning and evening in commute?

Not familiar with the area you are talking about. Could you be a little more specific to your location?

I'm working at harbour view blvd and james river bridge road (maybe?)/ 664 and 164 area in NE suffolk. I lived in Miami FL for 8 years and loved that there was always something to do. But suburbia is killing me. It appears as though they are trying to build this area, but I could be wrong.

I live in your area. Call United Property Associates (on Townpointe Road) and see if they are offering any short term rentals. I know in my neighborhood there are a lot of empty houses for sale and I am sure the owners would love a short-term rental to fill it temporarily. Our HOA is through United Property Associates.

Welcome to the area!
