We'll be moving to the VB area this summer and we are considering a home in the Lagomar community. A number of people on this forum have told us to check the noise level maps which we have and it appears as if this area is not in the high noise zone. Is this really true? Just wondering if anyone out there can verify that. We are moving from North Chicago, IL and know very little about the Virginia Beach area. The houses look beautiful, schools great but we'd be really bummed out if we were in a fly zone.

Default noise level in Lagomar

I am local realtor, Lagomar is a -65 noise level (no air noise). When looking at local listings, there is a secition called AICUZ, this section tells you the crash zone and noise level. If you do not want to be in a noise zone, look for the -65 in this section. I hope that helps!

-65 doesn't mean NO NOISE... it means the noise will be under the 65 noise range. You may still hear jet noise occasionally.... But that is the best noise range you can be in, in this area. We have jets from the navy, you will occasionally hear them. but you should be fine in Lago Mar. I live very close to Lago Mar and love it.
