Oh yes! When we'd drive to NJ to visit my grandmother and aunts & uncles, we'd always get subs (hoagies). They use the best meats and cheeses!! And the bread! Oy vey! And they're not as expensive for a footlong up there. I miss those subs!

My mom would sometimes bring them down if she went up by herself.

When they'd come visit us, they'd get their Utz potato chip tins refilled at the Utz factory in Hanover, PA. (We lived just south of there in MD) Back in the early 80's, Utz wasn't up in NJ quite that far yet.

CRAP!!! I was like really excited there for a minute. Thanks W. Got my hopes up for nothing lol. The chutzpah of you lol j/k. Yea I was totally thinking I could swing through there and grab some Fishers for my parents and I. Yeaaa we do have a Candy Kitchen here. That is funny, I never even set foot in it either. My dad always went to Jessica's you know on the boardwalk (in OC) further up kind of near Marty's Playland I think. Real small store, sold candy kind of like a Wockenfuss. I wish we had a Wockenfuss here lol But I digress...
Alright well so much for that, 95 it will be then. It is enough of a drive doing it all alone. Yea all my family is still in Baltimore

We used to do the "make your own sundaes" at Candy Kitchen in OC back in the day. I don't even know if they offer that anymore, let alone the ones here in VB.

We liked the pit beef place on Coastal Highway. I can't remember the name of it, though.

We always stayed at the dumpy Chalet on 10th street, bayside, too. I wonder if that place is still there... but I also digress...

I remember Wockenfuss. I do have to say that Forbes candies here in VB is pretty darn good. I love their fudge!
