Question temp agency recommendations

Hey all,
I might be relocating to the area from Boston for a job and my wife will need to find work too. Can anyone recommend a temp agency incase she's not having any luck finding a job on her own? When we looked in the yellow pages there were WAY too many to weed through. We wouldn't even know where to begin!
Thanks in advance

Yep, I have a co-worker who's wife does medical records thru temp services. She travels with him on our jobs and works part-time while they're out of state.

OfficeTeam and Don Richard and associates both specialize in admin staffing. I would check out both of these.

However, your wife may need to do a bit of homework when she gets in the area. If she finds a company that she wants to work for, but they use staffing firms for temp-to-hire, she needs to find out what staffing firm they have a contract with.

Also, please recognize that temp services do have to make their money somehow. Usually it means charging the company a % (usually 20% or more) of the persons annual salary to hire them on permanently. If the company does not have it in their budget to do so, you'rr out of luck b/c they will be sued if they try to hire you.

I feel temp services have their place in the working world, but it definitely does not fit every situation. Also, has an HR Director, I only hold positions open for people relocating to the area for highly specialized skills since we operate with a lean staff already and can't afford to have an opening for several weeks. You may find that once you are in the area, your wife receives multiple offers within a couple of weeks.

Hampton Roads has many employment opportunities for admin assts, anyone in the medical field, gov't contracting and call center environments

I wish you the best!
