It's a perfectly appropriate question, Bikesarebetter. WT is probably no further from here than some parts of Hampton Roads, in terms of time-traveled. From your answer, you seem to imply that I have an ulterior motive by asking the question. Nope, just curious. Contributors ask about all sorts of things -- what to expect from certain neighborhoods, where to find the best bike shop, etc. My inquiry was in that same spirit. Btw, I have no idea what "PA Board" is.

There are many snowboarders and that live in HR.....the question is very valid. There are not many places in VA to ski/board besides Wintergreen and Massanutan.

You might want to also consider Snowshoe which is in WV.

Seven Springs is also a great location which is also located in PA. It is about a 6hr. drive. from HR.

You also might want to check out Hatteras in the Outer Banks, NC for camping if you are looking for fun in the sun though for the summertime!

White Tail is known though as mainly a ski resort but they probably have summer activities too! Good luck!
