Default income based rent

I am a single mother of 3 kids and have not lived in norfolk for long. I am looking for apartment communities that base your rent by how much money you make. Im not worried about the neighborhood its in or anything. Im already on the housing waiting list and im just wondering if anyone has any ideas on where I should look. Im looking in the areas, of Norfolk, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Suffolk, and maybe VA Beach. PLEASE HELP!!!

Default I'm looking for a income based apartment or something that I can afford!

I'm a 23 year old female and have been living in hampton roads for a year and a half now. I am renting aroom and the moment and curently working two jobs. I also will be attending school this fall. I need an apartment of my own as of April. I am afriad that most apartment places will not except me as a resident because of my income. If anyone knows a great place that I could look into I would very much apperciate it. A one bedroom income based or under $450/mo in Newport News or Hampton.

I’m looking for a small inexpensive apartment for my husband (1 bedroom or efficiency) beginning in May 2010 while we work out some marital issues. He is currently incarcerated and will be released in June. We are both retired and receive Social Security. My husband would be the one living there, but I would visit and would occasionally stay overnight. No partying, no drinking or drugs, and no smoking. Very neat and clean. We are both writers; published authors, and will keep to ourselves. We would like to find a place that we can be happy in and work on, if the property owner desires. This could be for a short time, i.e., a few months, or for longer if all parties agree.
