This post got off track in asking about services in autism. They are bad in the state. Here's a part of a report that was in the Washington Post not too long ago:

Autism Help Lacking, Study Says

By Chris L. Jenkins
Washington Post Staff Writer
Tuesday, June 9, 2009

Public services for Virginians with autism suffer from poor organization and limited resources and fail to offer help early enough. Many school systems also are unable to meet the needs of their autistic students, according to a report released yesterday by the General Assembly's lead audit review agency.

Minnesota and New Jersey are supposed to have some of the best services for autism. Virginia is really bad for services. I know first hand, if you want details, let me know.

Looking for a house with at least 10 acres, where can I find this in the Norfolk area, or maybe around the Richmond area, honestly I have no clue where to look for. How high are the taxes in the State
Please can someone help me in here?
You would be better off in the Raleigh Durham, NC area. South Hampton Roads is not a friendly or diverse place. People here look at you funny if you are in an inter-racial relationship (as am I) and oddly enough, there are lots of inter-racial couples here.

People here are not friendly. People in the carolinas are much nicer.

I'm not sure what part of NJ you're from, but I'm originally from NNJ and can tell you if you're from the area as well, you'll not like it here. There's really nothing to do and you don't have a major city like NYC to go to, either.

Race is not a problem in Hampton Roads. I would go to VA. NC is super country, unless you like country.

You can get more for your money in NC...Elizabeth City is a nice area. Housing in HR is overpriced for the area. I lived in VB-Pungo area from 93-97 and again from 00-02. Man has that area changed...Pungo is becoming a suburb.
