Gosh, I haven't rented in 25 years, but I'm sure someone will pop in to let you know about the places you've listed. :-)

Columbus Station is pretty overpriced just because it's in the town center location. Pretty much anything in or around the town center area will be a little on the high end (price-wise).

Default I live in South Beach...

I live at South Beach Apartments.

South Beach is a nice place. We havent had any major issues, but it is kind of pricey. It depends on how much you are willing to spend each month.

Their prices depend on certain features. For example, people who face the lake area are charged a few extra, same with people with fire places, vaulted, ceilings, and obviously more bedrooms.

My husband and I live in a 1 bedroom, facing the parking lot, with a fireplace and vaulted ceilings (top floor only) and pay $1135 per month (including pet rent which is $30 I think??)

Washer and dryer are featured in all apartments here.

Like I said, it's nice here. My hubby and I looked at North Beach and were not impressed at all, also didnt really like the location.

South Beach is 1 mile inland from the resorts.

BUT, if you cant stand jet noise, dont come. If you can appreciate it and/or ignore it, then by all means, come on over. I was able to sleep through the jet noise (about once a month they fly during the overnight hours), but yeah.

Hope that helps!

Default Important

If you have children, please check the Virginia Sexual Offender Registry. I know there is a child sex offender at Columbus Station, or at least he was there a couple of years back.

Stay away from Chapel Lake. They had our car towed when the registration was STILL valid. Then the towing company got into a wreck and totalled our car. The Navy is supposed to be black listing the community. There are a couple people on the sex offender registry there as well. Children as young as 4 have been seen roaming the neighborhood without supervision as well and people will just roam the neighborhood since it's so close to shopping. The walls and floors are so thin that you can hear the neighbors above you and next to you as if they were in the same room as you. We had thought about Marina Shores (off Shore Dr.?) I think but, they were a little out of our price range for a 2 bedroom...now we need 3!

I am a register sex offender with a very low risk status looking to find an apartment complex that will rent to me. Also I am on a fixed income of about $600.00 dollars a month. I need this to be on or close to a bus line. Looking to rent for about 340.00 to 400.00 a month including utilities, full or partly furnished. Please e-mail me at whitfield_william@yahoo.com or call 512-436-1144. I would be very greatful.
Would like to stay here in Austin,Tx , but will consider out of state as well.
Thank you for your time and consideration in this matter.
