I think they meant Chick's Oyster Bar (on Vista, on the Lynhaven Inlet). Great food, but sometimes too much of a party atmosphere (esp. weekend afternoons and evenings). The one that turned into HK was called Chicks Beach Cafe, I think. 2 different places.
I have been to Lynhaven Fish House 3 times and it has been very inconsistant, esp. considering the prices. Won't be back there.
Dockside is our regular hangout and I love their grilled and raw bar items, but don't care for their fried stuff. The best staff around!
One Fish, Two Fish: My favorite!!! Slightly formal and very high dollar, though. Going there Saturday for Valentines!
You can never go wrong with Surf Rider. Taylor's Landing is the only location I've been to.

I hear ya on Surf Rider. We've been to all three and their menu is consistent. One of the brothers' wives owns Coastal Fitness at Cypress Shopping Center with one of her teacher friends. I like Taylor's Landing's atmosphere on the Marina.
Where exactly is Dockside? We haven't been there yet and are always willing to try something new.

Dockside is between Bubba's and Chicks. You have to go through the seafood market to enter. They have great happy hour specials and the fish is the freshest around. They have fish like Tilefish that aren't usually available other places. The head boats come and go from there, so we like to go over there when we see them coming in from our condo and see what everyone caught. We have become friends with the owners andd most of the staff. Not snooty like I think Chick's staff is. They also have a lobster dinner Mon. and Tues. for $9.99 (I think).

I know where you're talking about now. We go out on head boats a couple times a year, just to fish. Last time we were out, I caught a 15" croaker and won the biggest fish ante. It was fun and we got some good sun. We usually fish on the beach under the lesner bridge and watch the boats go in and out.

Just sort-of an FYI thing - Dockside has been giving out cards to locals that give them 15% off their entrees. Just another reason to go there.
