Enjoying my first few days as a resident of Wmsbg!
Got here Wednesday afternoon and we're still setting the apartment up like we want it. It's been alot of work but we're getting there. I start work tomorrow morning.
I love Willismburg from what I can tell of it. We went out to the local Waller Mill dog park today and took our 4 year old Pug. Had alot of fun. The park over there is nice with paddle boat rentals and lots of walking trails.
I'm thrilled to see that there are plenty of retail shops right around the corner from us (we're on Longhill Rd.)
We ate at Casa Maya a few nights ago and thought it was horrible. Theres a couple more mexican places in the town but I hope they are alot better then Casa Maya!
If I don't have to work on Saturday we're going to attend the local
Farmers Market.
So far, I'm loving Wmsbg!
Although it was harshly cold on Wed and Thurs, I think it got down to 16!!!

Glad you're having a good time in your new home! We were at Waller Mill yesterday. Beautiful day for a hike! And Geocaching! Lots of cute pups out in the gorgeous weather. Good luck with the new job, and have fun exploring the area!

Glad to hear that you like Williamsburg so far. What apt complex did you decide to rent at, if you don't mind me asking. I also live on Longhill so just curious. Casa Maya is alright, depends on what you get. I have several friends that love Tequila Rose, again I think it's just ok and there's another one on 60...near the Captn. George's Seafood Restaurant...??? Anyhow, I hear people say that it is good as well, but after living in Texas for 2 years...nothing beats good ol' TexMex!!!
Anyway, good luck and let us know if you need any further info!!!!

I have to agree that Tequilla Rose is probably the best Mexican Rest. in Wmbsg.

Oh, PChildres, I can't wait to join you and all Williamsburg residents! My house is finally on the market up here in CT but so far no takers. It is hard to be patient.
But enjoy your new surroundings!
