Default Anyone here NOT know someone in the military?

I was discussing this with a friend of mine last night, and we came to the conclusion that we both are here ultimately because of the military. For example, my grandfather on my dad's side joined where he grew up, in Pennsylvania and eventually was stationed here and just never moved. The same thing happened with my mother's father when he joined in North Carolina, then my mother and father met in high school and here I am. Most people I know have almost identical histories, so I'm wondering who here isn't here because of the military in some way? Moreover, does anyone here not know someone in the military, retired or active? No friends, relatives, neighbors, etc?

ellar is on a distinguished road
We're not here because of the military. We moved here for a new job opportunity that has no connection with the military at all. I never even heard of "Hampton Roads" before we started looking at this area about two years ago, and I didn't know about its military significance until then either. However, now that we are here, we of course have met a lot of military people. It seems like you would have to live in a cave not to have met anyone from the military while living here, but maybe that is just our experience.
