IN and OH are further away then NC...................I would sit down and talk to your girl again if anything just give NC a chance and if she still doesnt like it then agree to move but if she really wants to be close to home then NC is the best choice in my opinion.
Actually Im looking to move there myself within the next couple of years.

I completely agree, however, she is deeply afraid of the south, and stereotypical southern culture and racial divides (she actually gets it from both racist black people and white people, since she is a darker skinned hispanic. I think the fact that she is now in an interracial relationship pretty much pushes it over the edge for her.) Im sure I could talk her in to it, she is generally very agreeable, but Id rather her make the decision on her own. I have no desire to bring her to a place shes scared of, and isnt comfortable being in.

Have lived all over the south, and the further south you go the greater the Hispanic population in many areas. Charlotte is fairly well rounded, and as far as jobs go a fairly strong offering with many major corporations shifting headcount there (my own company moved a significant portion of our US back office to the area). Another alternative is Atlanta, you don't really want to live downtown but plenty to do and another big business center.
