We will likely be relocating to Hampton Roads in a year and we are doing a scouting trip next weekend. All my online research seems to divide the neighborhoods by high schools. I think I've narrowed down the general area for us to be in the Cox/First Colonial/Princess Anne HS districts. But I'm mostly concerned with elementary schools, as my kids are very young. What are the elementary schools that are gems?

Your input is greatly appreciated.

I live in Va Bch and the area's you've choosen have really good elem. schools. THe elem schools aren't the problems it's the h.s. that really have some issues. The Cox Sch district is a pricey one and most of the kids drive nicer cars than I do. So,, If you want your child to always have to keep up with the others and need the best of everything than that's the one.
Good luck

Lightbulb Great website for VB public schools

You can get a wealth of info on vbschools.com. I formulated a list of acceptable elementary schools when we were relocating to VB. It is an excellent school district all around but there are about 25% of the elementary schools that were not on my list. A lot of them in Green Run area. They post the SOL scores on the website so you can do all the research you need. Good luck!
