Hello,
I am a mother of 18 month old and I am looking for different activities and things to do with her. I am in the Air Force so I can't go to all the play groups and stuff that happen during the day. I am looking for places to go on the weekends and days off. From what I have seen there are not much things to do for kids around two yrs old other than Chuck E Cheese. I have taken her to the Aquarium, it was ok just lacked alot of animals. Can you please give me any info you may have. Thanks in advance

I would check with the YMCA's. They are always having some type of kid function for all ages. Also, you can take her to the Norfolk Zoo, Nauticus and there are places near the VB Conference center.
But I would consult with the YMCA. They are family oriented.

Jumping Joey's in Williamsburg. Jumping Monkey in VB. They have separate areas for little kiddos so they are not trampled by the bigger kids.

Also, check out peninsulamommies (dot com). They organize lots of playdates and such. They have whole forums for working moms, military moms, etc. I know they set up playdates on weekends too. They will also be able to provide info for things to do.

Since tourist season is upon us, I am determined to keep the Events in Hampton Roads thread maintained each week with activities for people of all ages. When doing my research, I will be sure to keep an eye out for activities for your youngin'. You said you're Air Force - are you on the peninsula or southside? Is there any focus you'd like me to look for?

You can either let me know here or through DM. ((In fact, I'm gonna check through my resources and see if there's anything else I might have missed that would help you))
