Default Amish Settlements in VA???

My husband and I are going to Williamsburg, VA for our anniversary trip, and have heard that there are Amish Settlements and Vendors about 2.5 hours from Williamsburg. Is this true? If so, where are they? We'd really like to visit and purchase crafts and such and want to make an entire day out of it. Thanks for all the help.

PS- We leave Monday, 4/13 for the trip and after a week of Google-ing, I've come up with very little info.

Virginia Beach is just an hour from Williamsburg and we have a Mennonite community. They run Yoder's dairy and I believe they have some crafts. There are also some Amish furniture vendors in VB. One is on Va. Bch. Blvd. I'm certain they can be reached via the internet.

FL Beaches is on a distinguished road
I'm not positive, but possibly in the Colonial Beach general area. We took a drive yesterday up 17 from Yorktown. We had to laugh when we saw an actual sign with the horse and buggy on the side of the road. Darling son recently finished his driver's ed class, so that was a sign he needed to know. I told him...I bet that wasn't a sign you actually thought you would see on a road. We saw it before getting to Colonial Beach, but I'm not sure what town it was.

Yoder dairy closed, and VA beach is about 2 hours from Williamsburg.

I make it to Williamsburg Outlet in about an hour, without tunnel traffic. With tunnel traffic, it's hard to say. Yoder did close and they just built that beautiful store on Princess Anne last year. My brother lives in an Amish community in Illinois. We had a wonderful time out there last October and came home with all kinds of cool stuff. Pennsylvania also has Amish communities, but I haven't heard of anything other than the Yoders in this area.

There is a shop in Williamsburg that carries Amish made products. I don't believe it is Amish run but everything is sourced from Amish producers. It's mostly furniture although they did start carrying a small amount of food products here is a link

The others that I am aware of are quite a drive from Williamsburg

www.daytonfarmersmarket.com Dayton Farmers Market is also a Mennonite- market in Dayton, VA near Harrisonburg, VA.) This market sells Amish meats, bulk foods, crafts, quilts, etc. See web site for details and information.

www.yoderscountrymarket.net Yoder's Country Market is a local Amish-Mennonite market that carries also Amish meats, bulk foods, crafts, quilts, etc. Located near Culpeper, VA.

If you are coming through Maryland there is one in Burtonsville and one in Annapolis we used to go to. Great selections and prices.

I remember a few more in the Harrisonburg, VA area but can't come up with the info.

Giles County in the western portion of Virginia has a 4 District Amish Settlement. Not sure how far it is from Williamsburg area. If you ever do go there please let me know I'd love to know what it's like.
