Took a drive around the Oyster Point/Menchville Rd area and looked at a few neighborhoods over the weekend. Seems ok. Now looking at listings in the MLS, found a few that pop up off Old Lucas Creek road. I didn't travel up that far, how is that area comparable or is it starting to stray a bit too far out?

Old Lucas Creek road is ok, but you more in the Denbigh area. Denbigh along Warwick blvd is not good, but the neighborhoods away from Warwick are ok. I would drive by there or check Google maps and the street-view option

So basically the further north you go up Warwick the worse things get?

Wilmington is pretty decent. Used to work with the coast guard down there in the 80's.

Yeah. I think it's time to pack it in and give another city our tax money.

I lived in Pocahantas Dr. for 7 years which is right between warwick and Jefferson off denbigh and never had problems there the neighborhood is very diverse but it's fairly quiet. Please don't judge a book by it's cover there are mostly really nice decent people who live in that area and I wouldn't hesitate to move back there again.

Do stay away from Woodscape Apts. if you value your life and property I lived there for a year and I got robbed once and several of my neighbors got robbed also. My apartment flooded several times with sewage and the management could care less in fact they charged me for water damage when I moved out (which they'll never get) it's a horrible place to live and much worse than the area Rita talked about
