Default dam neck base access

Hello. Someone here recommended the beach at Dam Neck, and I'm wondering the requirements to get on base there.

I have my dependent ID but I want to take my brother and his girlfriend and they only have state IDs.

I also wondered if I need stickers (I have my stickers from kings bay still).

Thanks

Yea, you'll need stickers, but you may want to check on the "bringing in other people" requirements. Since homeland security started, they've made changes. I know when the ships come home from their deployments, the families who aren't dependents have to do some things.

I go to the beach at Dam Neck a lot. My husband is retired Air National Guard.

As long as you have DOD issued stickers, you are fine. I had my sticker from Martin's State Airport in MD (Air National Guard base) on my van up until two weeks ago. They expired and now I have the sticker for the bases around here. (I think it says "COMMIDLANT" or something like that). Your King's Bay stickers will get you on base, as long as they are current.

You can bring in people in your car. Show your military ID at the gate. The guard may ask for your guests' IDs, but I haven't had that happen to me in a few years. Tell your guests to bring them, just in case.
