Question Busch Gardens Preferred Parking / Quick Queue

I'd appreciate any information on what exactly is the "Preferred Parking" option. The only thing I can find is that it's a $6 upgrade at the tolls. Also, I'd like any anecdotal evidence for/against the Quick Queue passes. Are they worth it, since they only work once for each of the nine attractions, plus one extra for anything? (I'll be spending a single, entire day with some friends - no little children with us.)

I use the preferred parking simply because it is more convinient, not to mention that I have a toddler and a stroller when I go to BG. You are literally a one minute walk to the entrance of the park

I just ride the trolley from the parking lot. Really it only take a few minutes. I don't think being that close to the gate is worth the extra $.

Are you saying people who bought a season pass are "lower class"? And that people are that much more special for paying more to park closer to the park???!!!

It is a shorter walk but not worth the upcharge. Occassionally ( in the past) if attendance was low they would wave you through and let you park there. If you stay till closing it can sometimes take a while waiting for a parking tram.

Thanks, everyone. Sounds the better parking is worth it. Now does anyone know about those line skipping passes?

I don't think preferred parking is worth it. They have trams that go to the back outer lots, so you don't have to do much walking anywhere you park. And really would it matter how far you have to walk in the parking lot when you basically will be doing MORE walking inside the park?

Have been going to BG for 12 yrs now. I'd say the preferred parking upcharge is not worth it unless you hate to struggle with small children, strollers, etc. getting on or off a tram. If you're a healthy adult walking the few minutes from your parking space to the tram and from the tram to the park turnstiles is a breeze. Save your $6 bucks for a funnel cake!

I do not think the quick que pass is that much of a value (compared to the quick pass at say...Islands of Adventure or Universal Studios in Florida). However, I'm a local here and am used to going to the park on days when there are none or very few lines if any. So on crowded days I absolutly cannot stand to wait in a 45 min-hour line for a 2 minute roller coaster. If you are from out of town and want to ride every single ride in the park in one visit then by all means get the quick que pass. If you have a choice what day to go, go on a weekday. Tues, Wed or Thurs. Fri/Sat are the busiest days and in the summer it gets packed. If you have to pick a weekend day to go, then go on Sunday. Many people (like the locals) will leave early to get home to dinner, get the kids to bed, and generally prepare for the next day being a workday. That last hour or so you should be able to ride the big rides with very little wait.
Have fun!
