Arrow Where to live in Newport News?

I have a job offer towards the north side of Newport News, and I was wondering what the nice areas are with affordable apartments. I have even heard good things about Hidenwood, which is about as far south as I want to go.

I live in the Chesapeake Bay apartments and they are great. we pay 655 for a 720 sq ft 1 bedroom, and I think 2 bedrooms start out 850, but online it SAYS its alot more, but they ALWAYS run a special where you get like 100 or 200 off. We are right across from City Center which is a great, upscale area. Kiln Creek is great too but you will pay about 800 for a 1 bedroom I think.

You could actually look further south on the warwick side of NN...Past Hidenwood you have Riverside, Warwick on the James, Brandon Heights and Hilton neighborhoods. all of those neighborhoods are very nice, quiet, family oriented especially Hilton...you could even go a little further south into Huntington Heights which is a very old, yet quiet neighborhood
