vdogg is one of the most reliable sources I know and you aren't very bright if you can't put two and two together and realize that light rail will be extended to pembroke and the oceanfront very soon. Do you read the newspapers? Sessoms is a light rail fiegn, he has he backing of city council, I can't wait for it.. Do you think VB purchased the NS ROW for nothing? Do you think they are buying the Circuit City Property for nothing? Do you think there is a public involvement meeting at the convention center next week for nothing? Do you think the multi million dollar EIS is underway for nothing? Wow

LOL we can play this game all day

do you think city council is worry about the past referendum on light rail....I know the members I have spoke to are concerned

do you think any federal or state money is available for light rail when billions of dollars must be cut just from the state budget this year

do you think that the city is looking at the circuit city building for more of an extention of town center and not just the possibility for just light rail....

do you really think the Va Bch city council is so dumb that they wont wait to see how the starter line in Norfolk does before they decide to do anything one way or the other about the possibility of light rail.......

you got your butt handed to you from members on this forum regarding the city of Roanoke and Hampton Roads over passenger rail..do you really want to go for round two?...

Wow.

The referendum was 55-45 decision 10 years ago when there was no town center, downtown norfolk wasn't as viable a destination as it is now, and the majority of the voters where older whites that were afraid of norfolkians 'inflitrating' their 'safe' city. Things are different. Does everybody in HR have to be so short sighted?

Our democratic politicians have earmarked millions and billions of dollars for rail and mass transportation. Money is more readily available then ever.

The Circuit City lot isn't even a big deal in the transit extension. The rail will be elevated throughout Pembroke as to not disrupt traffic flow on major thoroughfares. So if it's an extenstion of TC or a transit hub, what's the difference.

Norfolk's starter line won't do great, but it wont fail misreably as it seems like your hoping it does. Norfolk relies on Virginia Beach and vice versa. Even if the starter line doesn't fare well, extend it to the oceanfront and airport and we have a transit system with high ridership.

What's my roanoke debate have to do with urban rail and hampton roads transit? If you actually read it i ****ted on his point anyhow.Round two? Fine with me. I guess this will be the knock out round?

well lets see my last post was for Vdogg and not you but you just had to jump on the band wagon again but if Circuit city is no big deal why does it keep coming up in this discussion?
I am so glad there is someone like you on this forum that can predict the future and knows exactly how light rail will do.......
And the Norfolk/Va bch statement.....please tell me what local city around here relies on the other in Hampton Roads.......that is the biggest problem this area has faced for years...we have 7 cities with 7 different mayors/city councils that cant get along and will do anything they can to help their city even if it hurts a surrounding city.....

Hey they might even talk about the weather, or how their vacation went.....that would be breaking news....
