We had our company christmas get together, vice party at the admirals game last year. We had a great time, had dinner catered with cash bar and enjoyed something different other than the same ol', same ol'.

I really miss the Admirals being in the AHL. That is a good quality league players who had seen NHL time that current season. Plus future stars and NHL players are guaranteed to be on the squad. Norfolk certainly was an example of this. Same goes for coaches like John Cooper.

Have no interest at all in the ECHL version. Drop in quality from AHL to ECHL is very very big. Bigger than NHL to AHL. Missed it more cause I was at Monsters game in Cleveland recently on travel. It was a fun watch.

Yeah.. it's disappointing the Admirals have dropped in leagues. To your point, I remember when Admiral goalie John Gibson was called up from AHL , & had a damn good playoff run for Anaheim. AHL has some good NHL-ready talent..

Seems like professional ice hockey in the SouthEast is always a tenuous thing. But all things considered, Admirals have had a decent life span.
