Default Thoughts on Liberty Ridge development in Williamsburg

Hi all. We are looking at relocating to Williamsburg next year and are not too familiar with the area. We did a quick drive throuh some neighborhoods and stumbled across Liberty Ridge. We love the plans for the community but don't know if that is considered a "good" area. We are in our early 30s and plan on having children. My fiancé will work mainly in Williamsburg but I will be commuting to Hampton, Newport News, possibly Norfolk & Richmond. My mo e is from DC and I'll miss my big city amenities. I'm not a night club person but I do love fine dining, high end shopping, cultural diversity and theater. Thanks for your input!

It's hard to find a bad neighborhood in Williamsburg. Williamsburg has a large outlet mall with many high end retailers. You also have access to the city life in Norfolk, VA Beach, and Richmond. Lots of theaters, upscale restaurants, shopping and nightclubs in all three cities. Yorktown is also a great place to raise a family.

Liberty Ridge backs up to Freedom Park which is a 689 acre forested park with mountain bike trails, botanical garden, picnic tables, hiking trails and reproduction cabins. Home owners there would be completely surrounded by nature. Fords Colony is across the street. They hadn't sold a home yet in Liberty Ridge as of last week. Although it will be gorgeous it's a little pricey when compared to other possibilities. Pricing starts in the $800-900k range for a finished home on a 3+ acre lots. Some of the lots there are 9+ acres.
