What are you looking at? Croaker's had very serious violations in their last inspection like "Inadequate record keeping system for shellfish when removed from their tagged or labeled container", "prepared ready-to-eat (RTE) food in the refrigeration unit is not properly dated for disposition" and "Potentially hazardous food cold holding at improper temperatures"

I like Big Sams at Rudee Inlet. It is like a little hole in the wall by the parasailing and charter boats.

Also, Il Giardino at 9th and Atlantic. and Aldo's on Laskin Road. Also, No Frill Grill (fantastic salmon salad with goat cheese, walnuts, and more...mmmmm).

shelly

I loved going to Big Sams! I have yet to try Il Giardino so that could be an option. I had been to the sister restaurant La Galleria in Norfolk before it shut down and really enjoyed it.

I like the Spotswood salad at No Frill....I will have to try the salmon salad though, sounds delicious!

Lynnhaven fish house and bubbas are the best seafood in my opinion! I live right across from salty dog but still have never tried it, gotta do that someday soon there menu looks awesome! I also love Ruby Tuesday even though theyre more chain then local lol, I used to love kellys tavern but it seems like everytime I eat their lately the food is too greasy and all I wanna do after is go to sleep lol, still its a great bar hangout, Baker Street on centerville turnpike has good food and is a great bar, also chichos is probably my #1 drinking/pizza hangout theyre pizza is so unique!

I have had one awesome meal and several disappointing ones at Lynnhaven Fish House. We ate at One Fish, Two Fish last weekend and it was awesome, as usual. My husband really loves Crab Creek Pizza.

Wow I should really try crab creek considering all I have to do is cross the street lol, Im too used to doing online ordering with pizza hut, papa johns, or dominos whenever im in the mood for pizza, And I havent really found any good bars/hangout places on shore drive and usually my going out involved a 15 to 20 minute drive

Franchises are okay. Out of the 3 you've listed, Macaroni Grill is pretty good.

Every restaurant has issues and they correct them. There is a line drawn and if you are 2 degrees off, you get written up. A few places were hit hard that weren't even open for business yet (one fish-two fish). Salty Dog of all places bragged about, had a refrigeration infraction.
