What are some great places that you all like to eat and/or hang out in Hampton Roads?

Just wanted some ideas for when I come back home to visit. Last time I was in town I went to the Regal Begal (great oysters rock, btw) and Pacifica at the beach. Looking for some other suggestions for different places that I may have not been to. Thanks!

We were going to try that place since it's less than a mile from our place, but their inspections from the health department are always very bad.

Thank you!!!!!!! I am surprised more people don't talk about how bad some of the local restaurants are when it comes to health violations...and people wonder why they get sick.......

Here are some of the latest inspections for Va Bch

I worked in the restaurant business for years at several places in HR and I am not surprised at all about the health inspections.

Here's their website: SaltyDog Va Beach (http://www.saltydogvb.com/welcomeframe.htm - broken link)
Their wings and raw bar stuff is awesome. Actually, everything we've tried there was really good. And a meal there doesn't break the bank.

The health violations are little small things. Like not enough soap content in the washing bucket? That's not even that serious guys.
