Can anyone recommend a good personal trainer or personal training facility in Williamsburg?

Thanks.

My wife is a personal trainer who has been working at WISC. She just left to go to work for a new physical therapy / fitness/ personal training center being opened by TPMG Physicians in New Town. They will be located across from Harbour Coffee in the new building on Discovery Park Blvd. Opening date is 12/17 but they are in preparation till then. If you DM me I will forward to her. She can give you a long list of references to talk to who are extremely pleased.

Core Fitness, on McLaws Circle
The Pilates Center, Jamestown Road
B-Defined, in New Town in the SunTrust Building
All are excellent.

Sasha and staff at Core are highly regarded. If Pilates alone suits you she is wonderful and has top-of-the-line machines, both private and classes, a great of women go here. Bridgit at B-defined, formerly head of PT at Kingsmill, has done fantastic since she opened her own place a few years ago - she and Chris are two of the trainers I personally have used.

Facilities I don't like - too crowded, not enough expertise and just not an atmosphere I enjoy are the Williamsburg-James City Community Center (WJCC) and WISC. The YMCA near Sentara Hospital is an option if you also want pool access, as is the WJCC.

The least expensive of any is the WJCC, and if you want a pool it is a value.

What location works for you?

I'm closer to New Town than Longhill so it sounds like those might work.

Thanks.

The best personal trainer in Williamsburg is Bridgit-Kin CHarlton owner of B-defined

Innovative Personal Training & Wellness
4801 Courthouse Street, Suite 122
Williamsburg, VA 23188
PHONE: (757) 345-6801

I have known Bridgit for many years, first at Kingsmill resort and now with her own personal training boutique studio. She has her Master's degree in exercise science and I continue to train with her over the the years. I don't think there is anyone that can push you as Bridgit will to get the result for which you are looking. Something that if I were to do on my own, it would never have happened.
