I read all sorts of things on other review sites. I can't post them here due to ToS but they were basically saying the food was bad, the school is old so it is falling apart or not well kept, the dorms always rank worst in the nation and that for a historically black college the majority of the people in charge of the overall school is white? Something I've noticed is not only are most people bringing up the same complaints (dorms mainly) but the school's site offers little to media. I am having a hard time finding even a single shot of how the dorms look let alone a YouTube video. What is up with that? Most other schools love to show off with youtube, facebook and such.

I see it is rather expensive, even as a in state resident.. What are your opinions of the school if you've gone there? I'm having a hard time picking between them and ODU.

ODU is either the second or first best school in the area, depending on what you are ranking.

Hampton is about last in almost every category.

Yeah, Hampton's not really a school that gets much praise around here. I'd say they both have their problems, but ODU seems the be the better of the two.

Wow, at one time I think Hampton was considered one of the better schools....better
then Norfolk State....this was about 15 years ago....

Didn't realize it has gone down...too bad....it looks pretty---from the pictures I saw...

Takes more then Pictures though......

Which college is considered the top one in VA UVA?

Anders15,

Since you live in the same state...you should definitely visit both schools and then decide....
