chesapeakesim will become famous soon enough
Hi StayTuned, I am from ME as well, what part are you from? Good idea to go the tappen zee bridge way, last time we went over the GW bridge we hit bumper to bumper traffic for about an hour at 1 AM. The trip is brutal sometimes if you go during the day, took us about 20 hours one trip up there so I wish you luck.

Nice! I am actually going there.. My brother lives in Gardiner my Mom in Randolph and I have an Aunt in Augusta...My Aunt has lived there since I was very little.. but recently in the last 7 years my immediate family has moved up that way.... I like it up there.... It was however easier to get to my old friends when my parents were in Topsham LOL!

I hope you have fun up there on your trip, I am going up in mid August. My parents have a pontoon (sp.?) boat so we will hopefully be able to get out on Great Pond and Cobbessee weather permitting. That area has come a long ways since I lived there in terms of shopping / restaurants. When I was growing up around there we had a Kmart and a Sears and that was about it. Now they have a Wal-Mart, Lowes, Home Depot, Kohls, Best Buy, most of the big chain restaurants, etc. It has most everything I have in Chesapeake. It's funny, when they build a new restaurant up there it is big news, down here new stores/restaurants seem to pop up over night.

Cool you are going to go to Hampton Roads? Do you have family here? Or just going to visit?
