Hi, I'm going to be moving to VA in mid-May or June.

My fiance is going to be training at Yorktown Training Center until September. So I'm looking for a short-term 1br apartment and my budget is max$900. I now know that Newport News is probably the best place to live to be close to my fiance but I still don't know which area within Newport News I should look.

I'm 25yrs old female and I don't want to live in middle of no where. I don't mean I want a big nightlife but I want to be living in a convenient place. (grocery stores, restaurants, bars, movies, post office, banks, etc.)

Could someone please recommend an are that I may be interested??

You got Hidenwood, Riverside, Port Warwick, City Center, Oyster Point, Kiln Creek as options. The key to NN is to stay North or Mercury Blvd. The only exception to this rule would possibly be Huntington Heights.

Thank you for your reply. I checked all the locations you mentioned on Google Map and they are all kind of concentrated in one area so it gave me a good idea where to look. Thanks again!

check out port warwick, city center, kiln creek, villages of stony run, jefferson point, impressions, forest lake, chesapeake bay....all of these places have apartment complexes which are nice, safe, in your price range, and minutes from restaraunts and shopping.
