Default Affordable Nice Apartments In Williamsburg (Stratford at Williamsburg?)

My fiancee and I are relocating to the Williamsburg area from western VA very soon and we're trying to map out some apartment locations before making a trip down there. We are on a fairly low budget, looking for an apartment around $575-$675 base rent. We found the Stratford at Williamsburg apartments, and were interested, but I have not found any reviews or any information besides the property management site. I was wondering if anyone on here has lived there and could provide some details about the area. I've looked at other apartments on various websites, but with most of them, I have found pretty bad overall ratings for. We're not looking for anything extravagant. Our most important qualities of a location is something Very Safe for my fiancee, and a place with a quiet setting. We currently live in a very busy loud area and we are ready for a little bit of quiet. Proximity to stores & colonial williamsburg would be great as well. If anyone has any good recommendations, that would be great. One thing that is a concern is the property management application process. We have mainly been with private landlords as we have only dealt with one property management company before and we didn't have much trouble getting approved. However, we both have bad credit that is in the process of being improved so we have a lot of paid off negative marks on our credit score. Are there any lenient property management companies to work with?

Sorry I can't offer any direct recommendations of Stratford Apts. I would recommend you look up any apt address in the crime directory on the Daily Press. Might give you some feelings for overall area activity. I will ask around and see what feedback I can find about apts in that price range.
