Hello all,

Trying to relocate to the northeast, specifically around Harrisburg. Could anyone offer some advice in doing so? I work as an instrumentation technician in the oil and gas industry, and needing the help of an employment agency or headhunter. I would appreciate the help...We would love the opportunity to move closer to family as soon as possible.

Thanks

While I was at Harrisburg, someone told me that they used Keystone Staffing which is located in Lemoyne . From what I understand it is an employment agency not headhunters. Through the agency they got a temp position which eventually became a FT job. I personally have not used them so I don't know how good they are or not.

I am far from being an expert in the oil/gas industry but have you looked into western PA since they have Marcellus Shale?

Default Willing to go a little further north

If you willing to go north of Harrisburg, PA, I know the following areas are booming with Natural gas work. Susquehanna County, Bradford County, Lycoming County. I was an Automation specialist with an E&P company, but I got injured. I am working as a Gas Controller for a large transmission company, but would absolutely love to relocate to that area, I worked in that area for two years. A good site to look for jobs is indeed.com

I would love to get back out there, as I am not suited to sit behind a desk, being in the industry I imagine you probably understand.

If you do find something, and there is more than one position, remember this post and help a brother out, LOL
