Smile Help for a Lebanon guy trying to move out of town

I'm a 29 year old single white male from Lebanon, without children, currently renting an apartment in the city. I've lived here all my life but wish to move out of the area. I'm looking for ideas. Places of interest would need relatively adequate job opportunities, a diverse ethnic population would be nice ( if you don't know about Lebanon, the town is predominately white or Hispanic, however, the majority of the white people live on the outskirts in the country or suburbs, within the city it is very concentrated with Hispanic people.) Low crime rates are always appreciated as well as affordable housing. More or less something that isn't too drastic of a change from Lebanon but something that could be considered a stepping stone to say maybe a larger city. Any help would be appreciated.

You shouldn't have to go too far - why not look at the Lehigh Valley?

Hey there. I grew up in Lebanon. Lived in the city until I was 16 then just outside of it. I still visit a few times a year as all my relatives still live there. To this day I crave opera fudge from Wertz and have been known to arrange family visits around my craving.

I moved to Philadelphia a long time ago and haven't looked back. I've grown to really love it here. You wanted job opportunities and diversity. We've got both. If you're uncomfortable moving directly into the city, then you can try a nearby suburb and have a safe, quiet "stepping stone" lifestyle but still be able to take advantage of the opportunities. Personally, I'd recommend moving directly into the city. Seriously, looking back, leaving Lebanon and moving here was probably the best decision I've ever made.
