Camp Hill, Lemoyne, New Cumberland, East Pennsboro and Mechanicsburg on the west shore. Susquehanna, Lower Paxton, Hummelstown and Middletown on the east shore. For the most part, Harrisburg's suburbs are all quite family-friendly. It depends on what proximity to the city you want and how much you want to pay for housing.
