Default Duncannon anyone??

First let me thank everyone for posting on here and being honest. There is some truly some great info on here. So what is everyones opinion on Duncannon? We fell in love with it as we drove around town. Pros, cons??
We are considering a house on Ann street. It appears its only about a 25 minute drive into Harrisburg and 11/15 seems to be a good highway. Thanks to all

11/15 is a good highway, but beware that during the rush hours it can back up for miles and miles. So that 25-minute drive, if you're going to work, can stretch to an hour or so.

I don't know anything about the streets in Duncannon, but just be careful - since it's along the river there would be flood-prone areas. Susquenita School District is where your kids, if you have any, would go to school. I know a couple kids who go there and they seem intelligent and like their schools.

Lots of folks commute to Harrisburg or Camp Hill from that area. I wouldn't want to do it -- it's not like the Harrisburg area is SO expensive that they need to live far out, so it's more of a lifestyle choice. Be prepared for daily inbound and outbound delays on 11/15 during the morning and even rushes.

There is a possibility that the Apple Tree Alley that crosses Ann St. could be turned into a more developed looking trail. The Appalachian Trail crosses Ann St. on High St. (on sidewalks, look for the white paint marks on poles) but may move down to Market St. or onto the Apple Tree Alley if it is further developed. Watch the flood hazard boundary.
