Thanks for the pictures. It isn't on the topographic map and I couldn't find any information about it online, at least in a casual search. It's even smaller than I thought it would be.

Default Shelley Island, Shelly tombstones

Thank you so much for the pictures. I have a Michael Shelly in my family tree who was born on Shelley Island June 30, 1811. Not sure when he left the island, but he died in Wayne County, Ohio in 1891. Maybe he left after his consort died. I could not read the year of her death from the picture. If you can find anymore legible Shelly stones, I would appreciate any information. I am from the Midwest. Mod cut - please do not post e-mail addresses. Use the DM feature. Thanks so much!

I'll do my best, currently I have my cabin and boats winterized.. So most likely I won't be back out till the end of March 2011 to open back up.. But you never know, I can be pretty spontaneous..

I also have a michael shelly in my kids' family tree. So, if u get more pic, i would also appreciate it. Do u know any history of the island. On the one picture it sd the consort of michael. I googled it. Seems like she was some type of royalty. I have offered on ancestry.com to take pics in pensacola cemeteries. Would be glad to take pic here for anyone. I appreciate your taking the pics.

Hi Auggie, Have you been out to the island yet? Still interested in any photos of "Shelley" or "Shelly" stones esp. Jacob and Michael. Thanks

There are two Shelly Island accounts on Face Book. Maybe some of those folks could do some recon for you.

I'm not clear on where this is exactly. I'll probably check it out and take some pics if I can find it.
