When are you moving? June, 2010
Where are you coming from? North East Pa.
Why are you moving? to be closer to family, new employment and flatter ground
Where will you be working? Transportation Freight Company near North Susquehanna Trail.
Have you been here yet? No, just fly by on MapQuest

Will you buy or rent? rent at first
If renting, are you looking for an apartment, a townhouse or loft? How much can you spend? That depends on when I move and time allowed to do so.
Do you prefer hi-rise or walk up? first floor would be great

Do you have children? grown children
Do you want or need a yard? I would like a yard, a porch even.
Are you keeping a car? yes. I am also looking into alternate forms of transportation in the event of an emergency. Is there bus service to Susquehanna Trail area? when does it run from morning, 1st pickup, to night, last pickup?
Do you prefer bustling activity or calm and quiet? I like York City and have read some of Old York however, my info on Old York and the geographical area that it covers is limited.

What do you want to be closest to?
Work.Yes
Shopping . yes, not a far drive would be nice
Basic services (supermarket, drugstore, etc.) Absolutely. I am looking for a walkable town. Near Parks, supermarkets etc.
Nightlife There is a night life ?
Train or subway stations Not so important.

Do you want to live with people of a similar age, race, religion or sexual preference or do you prefer a diverse neighborhood? I like a diverse neighborhood . My one concern are the rentals I see listed as " Party Houses". I can do without all night parties.

Phillies, Pirates or Orioles? Phillies

I wish there was someone who posted here with information on York city. From what I understand, the downtown is coming along nicely with lots of new developments. The York Central Market is great and there are some good restaurants down there. I can't speak to the good and bad neighborhoods but I do know that nuisance crime is fairly rampant.
