I might be moving to Kailua and was wondering if anyone knew of any good property management companies and or what are some fav. spots in that area.
Thanks!

I live in Kailua. It's a great town. Prices will vary a lot depending on where you look. Here's the link to houses and apartments for rent there now:
hawaii craigslist > oahu > apts/housing for rent: search for "Kailua"
If you look at this map:
Kailua, HI 96734 - Google Maps
anything on the ocean side of Kalaheo will be very pricey. The Area called Coconut Grove, roughly between Kalama St and Kuulei Rd is the least expensive, and least atttactive, and the areas of Enchanted Lake, Pohakupu, and Olomana are standard tract homes. The apartments bunched around Aoloa St are nice, and very centrally located. There is a high rise, called Windward Passage, right in the middle of those. Lanikai is a great area, but pretty pricey.
Hope that helps.
Hank

Hi Hank (or anyone else :-)
You live in Enchanted Lake, correct? Would you recommend the area? Is it safe and clean neighborhood? Any issues living close to a lake ie. flood or mosquitoes? Is the elementary school there ok?
Thank you. Anyone, feel free to chime in.

Yes I would recommend it. I'd recommend most places in Kailua.
My kids are old enough so that their kids are having kids, so I'm a bit out of touch with the schools.
No problems from the Lake, but there is not a good flow through it, and I wouldn't swim in it.

Thank you Hank. I'm just worried that the lake might be smelly or something :-)

Try Lanikai beach....right on the water. (if you have won a big lottery recently)
