We lost one of hawaiiʻs best athletes, world champion, and renowned surfer Andy Irons today to dengue fever. sad day for surfers everywhere

Yes, he had Dengue Fever, but his actual cause of death is unknown until the toxicology report comes back as they suspect a drug overdose (methadone).

Thanks for spreading that information on a thread that is suppose to be and opportunity to display our grief in support of him and a comfort to his family in this very sad time. Anyone with a second grade education could have gleaned that info from the article in the link; do you really think it was necessary to smear his name on this thread? Even in death you are innocent until proven guilty. You smelled blood and you jumped.
