hope you enjoyed hour poke. sounds sooooo good!
i really enjoyed the sakura at nu'uanu, but the maintenance was going up too high. the convenience was great. i didn't get the ashes--i didn't have a lanai.
hey, do you remember when iniki or iwa hit (which ever hit in 1992)? now that was something! nu'uanu avenue was like the grand rapids or something.

Aloha Kani,
Doing some grinding as we speak, even lucked out and got some Lomi salmon, kalua chicken and fresh Hanalei poi!!! I was on Maui for the 92 hurricane, working at a project in North Kihei. Weather went from strange, to really strange, to the point where a funnel cloud was developing right over the jobsite!! We got the hell out of there. Biggest storm I recall on Maui was in January of 1980, you couldn't get in or out of Kihei due to flooding on Kihei Road by Sudas Store, power was out for three days, and some poor guy was killed out Hookipa side trying to brace up his pole house when the building collapsed on him. But when that rain comes whipping down Nuuanu valley, it really is something. On a few occaisions I had water coming into my place under the sliding glass doors, couldn't even see across to the graveyard.
Aloha and okolemaluna
And now, for some lomi salmon and Hanalei poi!!!
Yea, and ahi is $14.00 a lb at Foodland, Popoki and Ele'ele don't seem to mind though......

I don't pay any attention to those threads, folks who've just moved here and saying how racist Hawaii is, kind of absurd.
Back to the uku, rained a bit here in Kihei earlier in the evening, just went up to my car to get some stuff, coming back on the walkway notice this HUGE kamalo'li, got a tape measure, it's shell was over two inches long! I don't think I've ever seen one of those in Kihei. At least if there is a snail invaision in Kihei, it will move at the appropriate pace. Now, if I only liked escargot?
uku-bug, kamalo'li-snail
Aloha and okolemaluna
If anyone needs some Maui chili peppers, let me know, I've got choke!!!! Mix em with some garlic, water, little vinegar, puts Tobasco sauce to shame! Just make sure to wash your hands after you dice them, or you'll be very sorry.......

Ok, sounds as if this thread is drifting a bit too. I think the OP has received enough advice on how to kill a centipede.
Feel free to start a new thread on snails, good food, or whatever else that might be fun to banter about.
