Default Commute time Schofield to Shafter?

Hi,
Anyone know the average commute time from Schofield to Ft. Shafter? My husband will be working at Ft. Shafter but we may choose to live on Schofield because I have heard the schools are better than the Shafter area (my son is special needs). I am not sure but he may have to be at Shafter for 6am PT. When would he have to leave to be there by 6?
thanks,
Michele

If you husband needs to be to Shafter by 6:00am, he will probably miss the "worst" part of morning traffic. My co-worker has a similar drive and I believe he leaves his house around 5:45am to be to work by 6:30am and he is normally to work by 6:15ish.

I would guess he will need to leave by 5:15am, 5:00am to be safe. If there is one fender-bender on the freeway, it backs up traffic.

Thank you for your reply. Do you happen to know what times are the "worst" times and how long would it take (worst case scenario)?
thanks!!

I believe in you are on the road anytime between 7:00am and 8:00am is the worst time. Even stretching it to 6:30am - 8:30am is still going to be heavy traffic.

Several people in my office drive in early to miss the heavy traffic and just hang out in the office until their start time.
