I looked at your original post -

I recommend - come out on a combination vacation and get some feet on the ground to talk to actual people/companies for what they are looking for.

You mentioned the CDL Class A License - aren't those essentially big tractor trailers? I very rarely see those on the road here in Oahu - certainly not what you see on the mainland. I'd be very surprised there is much of a demand for that here.

Mechanics - if you really want to be a mechanic and make some money in Hawaii - like anything else, get master certifications - the kind that take a few years to attain. I suspect mechanics are a dime a dozen here in Oahu (and pay that way) - but certifications are key and stand you out from the crowd.

Duly noted. A class A allows you to drive anything big or small now there has got to be jobs for drivers from the ports to the stores or visa versa

Look on Craigslist. They seem to pay about $15.

Yeah I think from what I'm gathering here my best bet is to get some more rentals for assets/ passive income then give it a go

Yup, another year or two gathering assets/passive income will do a lot towards letting you live in Hawaii. If you get enough of them, maybe you wouldn't have to work here.

Drivers don't get paid much and there's no overnight trucking. The rubbish haulers are probably the most respected among the driving trade. They zip in and out of some really tight areas. They also get paid a set amount for the work done and if they can finish early they get paid the same as if they took all day. Frequently the rubbish drivers will be pau in a half day. They don't get paid a whole lot, though. Probably the best paid drivers are the ones with a whole bus load of tourists. They get tips from the tourists at the end of the tour as well as kickbacks from the knickknack shops and restaurants the bus stops at. Their hourly wage doesn't matter when compared to what they can make in tips and kicks. However, these jobs only go to the favored few and a lot of the kicks are now being sent to the bus company instead of given to the driver. You will have a nice driver's lounge to hang out in while your passengers shop for trinkets. You can usually get a free lunch out of it, too.

Yeah I would love a driving job the most I even considered maybe buying a nice bus that I could give tours but I'd have to come down and live a while and explore and really know the area as I assume a job like that even to hire on would want you to be.

However I'm going to take my time with this and I'm defineitely going to get some properties that way if I work a part time job down there then I'll be set then I can enjoy Hawaii for what it really is.

Don't get me wrong Colorado is a nice place, beautiful mountains, gorgeous sunsets, but I think It could be better. Maybe I'm wrong but I'm not a big skier or snowmobile guy I love to swim in the ocean relax on the beech and ride dirt bikes! And frankly I work to much here but I suppose it's how I'll get ahead to be able to go to Hawaii.

Which begs another question... Dirt biking? Is there parks like open areas in the forest with trails to ride? I.E public lands that's open to motorized stuff ?

Not as much dirt biking in Hawaii as Colorado, I'd guess, but there's some here and there. Less on Oahu just because of the lack of room and density of population but I think there's some areas out near Kahuku. There is some riding areas on the other islands although I'm not sure exactly where. They do have the Mauna Kea 200 on the Island of Hawaii. You could try riding in that one. It's an official race and they've been having it for years. You could probably Google something on it.

There is no public land where you can ride dirtbikes on Maui, aside from the little beach roads. There is a motocross track Na Ala Hele - Hawaii Trail System: Maui: Maui Motocross Track
