Talking night marchers

I remember when I would stay up past midnight watching late night comedy shows, I'll be all alone in the living room. One time, I couldn't believe my ears, I heard drumming, chanting, people marching. I thought was on TV but wasn't and I thought okay maybe our neighbors across the street was having some kind of ritual party or something cause they Hawaiian. Then I got goosebumps and I suddenly recall the stories of night marchers and you dare not look at them or else you die. Now I no like stay up late alone! LOL

Thumbs up Bunk Bed

You guys believe in the BUNK BED superstition? Well I have heard that bunk beds are not good to sleep on cause of the negative flow of energy.. Spirits can flow above and below you when you're sleeping. I've only heard of this watching Silvia Brown on Montel and remember that old show, Unsolved Mysteries? Well my story goes like this...

My youngest sister and I would share the top bunk, we were young then maybe 10 or 11 yrs old. We're a year apart. My oldest sister slept on the bottom bunk. Well every night we had hard time sleeping, me and my youngest sister. She would always tell me to hold her. Then one night, she screamed she said that there was a hairy hand by my head. My parents came in the room turned on the light and told us that it was nothing!!! Another time, I was in the room alone with the lights off, our neighbors had their outside lights on so it shined into the bedroom. Well I swear to you, I not lying, there was a hand by the window and it said that it was going to kill me! We always had the lights on and prayed to God that these things won't happen to us again. But the last straw was when I fell off the top bunk and my parents said "mo bettah throw this bed away and let them sleep on dah floor" After that, nothing happened!!!!!

I'll have to disagree. My cousin can see ghosts and sees them all the time at that particular graveyard. They're often standing on the sidewalk along the street, moping around and dressed in old 1800 to early 1900-type clothes. I've sense them there as well. I have a minor 6th sense. I can't see them, but at times, I can tell where they're standing on the sidewalk when I pass by. I try not to focus on them too much, or risk having one hop in for a ride.

I guess it depends on how you define "haunting". they may not be all that active and causing much problems, but they're still there nonetheless.

I mentioned earlier something about an "apparition" or "ghost" being sited out towards Mokapu'u on numerous occaisions, was talking to a friend of mine just the other day, he was born and raised in Waimanalo, and has plenty of extended Hawaiian kine family out on the Windward side. I mentioned the story of a "ghost" being seen many times out Kaneohe side of the Pali tunnel. He had the following story, I didn't record it or anything like that, but this is the gist of it;

Seems that back in the late twenties and early thirties, the very thought of "Well Bred haoles", from prominent families, even associating with Local Hawaiians, was strictly taboo. In earlier years, many Haoles, primarily of stout Missionary stock from the East coast, inter-married with Hawaiian families, hence the Castle, Cooke, Spreckles, Baldwin, Dillingham etc., dynasties were started, Haole male would marry A Hawaiian girl, and would recieve property as part of the dowry. All of this began to change in the early 20th century, as Haole families now controlled the majority of the land in Hawaii, and used it for sugar cane, pineapple, and lumber, pretty sad to think that Maui used to be covered with Sandlewood and Koa, vast majority of it was cut down, you can still find railway ties made out of Koa wood here on Maui if you know where to look. Anyways, a young man, whose family lived in Nuuanu, and was quite well off, was seeing a Hawaiian girl out in Waimanalo, and had been doing so for quite some time. He was intent upon marrying her, and told his parents of his marraige plan. They were absolutely dead set against it, and told him so, he was not to see this girl again. I guess youth and love sometimes don't go so well together, after being told he couldn't see her again, he wanted to see her even more. He was living off a fairly large stipend from his family, when they found out about the continuing affair they cut him off financially and threw him out of the house, hoping, I guess, that he would start to see things there way. Well, he didn't. Found himself a room at a flophouse on Hotel Street, got odd jobs here and there, but wasn't really adept at physical labor, seeing as he was born with a "Silver Spoon" in his mouth. Time and hardship began to take it's toll, he sold pretty much everything he had, except for some clothing and his car, which he needed for driving the Pali out to the Windward Side so he could see the love of his life. Health deteriorating, and the girls family starting to turn on him, he sold what few remaining good suits that he had, and bought some shabby used clothes. Story has it that one evening he was driving the Old Pali out to the Windward side, and his car either broke down or he ran out of gas. His body was found a few days later, where he had either fallen or jumped off the Pali, to his death.
My old friend from Waimanalo said he has never seen the ghost, nor does he know which prestigious family the fellow was related to, but insists that many of the older Locals in Waimanalo, those who were born in the twenties, thirties and fourties, have seen the "Raggedy Man" of the Pali, in tattered clothes, late at night, making his way on the Pali out towards Waimanalo town, looking for his lost love.

CHICKEN SKIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Aloha and okolemaluna
