Does anyone living in Ewa Beach or Kapolei have personal stories to tell? I'm encountering quite a few occurrences happening in people's residences. Lot of nightmarchers-type activities going on, or just plain mass congregating of ghosts-type business in residential neighborhoods, especially in the townhouse projects. Things like, shadows, voices, fire alarms going off without batteries, etc.

well my dad has told me a couple of stories what had happened to him before...
One late night he was driving home from work say from kapolei to nanakuli.....he was slamming his sounds speeding when a lady walked right in front of the car..so he stopped not thinking....he really thought he hit someone...so he went to go and look for her he walked far to look for her went all over looking for her but found no one....no dents on his car no smashed windshield no impact came to his mind....so he realized she is a ghost...he jumped back into the car and left without looking back.
another one is at his old job alamo rental cars.....don't know where its located but you can look it up...he was working in the barn where the cars have been in accidents is stored in. well every night when he works in there he hears people talking, no one else in there but him, noises like chains someone limping, laughing, so he brush it off and swears at it so that it doesnt bother him.. another one is at the same job but his friend told him what happened....he told my dad that when he went to reverse the car a little girl was standing right in the back looking at him with a mean face....where in the world a little girl will be standing there in the middle of the night at a job site where all cars have been into accidents? kind of freaky.....
now as for me.....have you ever saw a little shaddow of a cloud on the road going fast and pasting back and fourth during the day but looked up theres no clouds in the sky, on a nice day? believe me i was tripping myself....and this is daylight people..... There is also a Theater by D&B DAVE & BUSTERS me and my friend volunteered to go and help clean thaters right next to dave and busters all by our selves we had to clean every single theater room, had other cleaners but different crews, just had me and her.....well a coupe of nights wierd things weve experience there....one night i told her i be right back im going to get the broom, she said ok so while i was getting the broom she was still in that theater room cleaning. she was talking to me telling me some stuffs about going shopping or something i can't remember what she told me, but then again i still was out to get a broom, so she thought i was standing there listening....."wasnt me" so i walked in ready to help her, she stopped me and asked me werent you just standing by the door? i said no i went to get the broom....she said i thought you was standing by the door and i was talking to you....so i told her no one else is around us but me and you the rest is upstairs....so we freaked.....another night was when we finished the last room, then thought we should go check if all the rooms are neatly done....guess again....one of the theater room that we done first had candy way down below where the screen is.....and not just any kind of candy but the candy look like it was from back in the old days....so when she went to walk back up i felt like someone was there with me i heard laughing going through the chairs in the room, but it sounded like a little girl or something playing it felt as if it wasnt harmful but happy, the other room was creepy because after all the cleaning we found cut hair on the ground all over when we looked up where they play the video there were someone standing there looking at us but as a shadow.....sillouhette or however you spell it....so we ran out and decided not to go and volunteer our help there anymore.....

i grew up in 'ewa beach, the older portion and own a home in kapolei--lived in it for app. 4 years. it's a rental now. i've never experienced any paranormal activities in either place. that doesn't mean they don't exist.

This haole has seen ghosts, and seeing is believing for most I would hope! Not seen any in Hawaii, but I imagine one day I will, since I know all these stories and already apparently have no trouble seeing them!
I've had more than one experience, none frightening except the first at about age 7, cowboy in my bedroom at night in California staring at me from the foot of my bed as I lay wide awake, just settled into bed, nowhere near dreamland....he wasn't mean but being young I was absolutely terrified.
Great thread here! Love the mana of the Islands! Keep 'em coming!

Pele in Nuuanu
As a girl, I grew up in Nuuanu (rain forest on Oahu). Lots of bamboo forests and streams, waterfalls, and beauty. My mom and I were driving near a bamboo forest and along the side of the road was this extremely ugly woman with long hair and a white German Shepard. As we approached the stop sign, we could either turn right or left (not go straight). As I saw this woman, I excitedly told my mom that must be Pele and could we please give her a ride. My mom scoffed at my request but drove ever-so slowly to see if perhaps this woman would wave hello or indicate she might want a ride. Pele turned around and looked at us with a scowl but she got to the stop sign and turned right just as we rolled up behind her. As I glanced around the corner, she and the dog were gone. My mom was so scared she had to pull over and stop the car. I was so excited I got to see Pele. She is either in a beautiful white chiffon gown with the white dog or, like this day, she can be ugly and scary looking. I'll never ever forget what she looked like. CHICKEN SKIN!!!

Well the old story about taking pork up the Pali road to the Pali Lookout on Oahu is still fresh in my mind. As a Nuuanu girl I went to the Pali hundreds of times. We always took visitors to see the Pali. I had heard my father tell the story about taking pork up that road, you won't make it up the road until you sacrifice the pork to Pele...the Fire Goddess. I never really believed it because I had never experienced it first hand. So the next time we made the outing, I snuck a piece of bacon in my shorts. Just as we were advancing up the hill, the car died. My father didn't know I had the bacon so after trying to start the car a couple times in vain, I finally said..."Daddy, can I make the sacrifice now?" He turned around and said,"YES!!! Do you have some pork???" I sheepishly admitted I did and threw it out the window. Sure enough, the car started right up and off we went. The visitor rented a car the next day and tried it himself, without my help, and came home telling us the same story. Over the years growing up, I myself experienced this phenomenon over 50 times. I would love to know if this still happens. Can someone please try it? Mahalo.

If you're talking about the Morgan's Corner on Old Pali Road...I knew the Morgans and went to their homes (several Morgan families all had homes there). The main home was the grandmother's home with a chapel. I could always feel the presence of ghosts in the chapel. I wonder if it's still there. Near Jackass Ginger, my other favorite place in the world.

The scariest local ghost story I've heard is the one about the couple in the car on a dark stormy night at Morgan's Corner on Pali Hwy . It's one area I won't go to at night by myself. Gives me chicken skin just to think of the story.
